Fall 2024 Idea TestLab – Applications Now Open!

The Brandywine LaunchBox is once again partnering with the Berks LaunchBox to be able to provide the Fall 2024 Idea TestLab program. Idea TestLab is a "customer discovery" investigation designed to help you better understand the customer, the problem you're trying to solve, and how to provide value in a differentiated way. Participants compete for funding in the culminating IdeaTest Lab Pitch Competition, which will take place at Penn State Great Valley. Learn More and Apply!

Announcing LionCage Pitch Competition on November 8

The Brandywine LaunchBox is excited to announce a partnership with the Great Valley LaunchBox and i2n to deliver a new pitch competition to support entrepreneurs and innovators across all of southeastern Pennsylvania. Known as LionCage, the program features pitch presentations from entrepreneurs and startup companies in four categories: Experienced Startup New Startup Student Startup Social Impact Startup The Social Impact category is being presented with United Way of Chester County. Brandywine Hosts Annual Youth STEAM Event

The Brandywine LaunchBox held its annual Youth Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) and Startup Day on May 7. More than 60 seventh-grade students from four local middle schools (Haverford Middle School in Havertown, Lionville Middle School in Exton, Northley Middle School in Aston and Upper Merion Middle School in King of Prussia) attended the event to learn about physics, entrepreneurship, robotics and more. “It was exciting to see how engaged the students were during the morning sessions of workshops led by our faculty at Penn State Brandywine,” said Tony Mattei, director of entrepreneurship and digital marketing at Brandywine...

Brandywine Entrepreneurship Club Hosts First Student Pitch Competition

Penn State Brandywine’s Entrepreneurship Club hosted a student pitch competition, its first major event as a student organization, on March 28. The competition featured six students in the club pitching their startup ideas to a panel of judges. The Entrepreneurship Club is a new student organization on campus, just launching in the spring 2024 semester. The mission of the club is to develop the entrepreneurial mindset necessary to create a startup business, and all club meetings typically focus on design thinking exercises, business and product development, and prototyping. Brandywine Hosts Spring 2024 Idea TestLab Pitch Competition

The Penn State Brandywine LaunchBox held its Spring 2024 Idea TestLab Pitch Competition on March 19. Four startup entrepreneurs participated in the competition, which was held on campus in the Tomezsko Classroom Building. The Idea TestLab is a six-week business accelerator program for early-stage entrepreneurs who want to explore their scalable idea or address a customer problem for a potential business.
